Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. The planner works without signing in. Sign in only if you want your plan to sync across devices or survive a phone upgrade.

How do I restore my Pro purchase?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Your subscription or lifetime purchase restores on any device signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account. If it does not appear, check you are signed in to the same store account that made the purchase.

My plan did not sync to my new phone

Sync only covers plans made while signed in. If you built the plan anonymously it lived on the old device only. On the new device, sign in with the same method you used before — Apple, Google or the same phone number — since each creates a separate account.

Why is there no Monte Carlo simulation?

Deliberate. NestEgg answers what has to be true for a plan to work rather than assigning it a success percentage. If you want probability distributions and tax-lot detail, tools built for that exist and are worth their price.

Why do I have to type my balances in?

NestEgg does not link to banks. It takes a few minutes once, and it means there are no banking credentials to lose and no aggregator between you and your accounts.

Can my partner and I share one plan?

Yes. The household setup takes two incomes and two retirement ages and produces one shared date.

How do I cancel Pro?

Subscriptions are managed by the store, not by us: App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. The lifetime purchase is one-time and has nothing to cancel.
